77 years around the fire

From a refractory trading house founded in 1949 to a fully integrated manufacturing group — growing brand by brand, plant by plant, without ever changing hands.

Milestones

How the Group was built

Selected milestones from over seven decades — trading first, then manufacturing, then acquisition of historic Italian refractory brands.

1949

The first company of the Group is founded, trading and distributing refractory materials in Italy.

1974

From trader to manufacturer: the first Levate production facility is built (later INFO 1).

1983

A second plant at Levate (INFO 2) doubles monolithics capacity.

1992

The Levate operations consolidate into Linco Baxo Industrie Refrattari SpA; products organised into the LINCO, BAXO and KERO ranges.

1993

First refractory company in Italy accredited to ISO 9001 — quality certified ever since.

1999

Linco Baxo International Ltd is established for worldwide distribution.

2000

The Arcene site is built for raw material processing — today also the Group warehouse and logistics hub.

2002

Linco Baxo Benelux BV is incorporated — today our subsidiary in Tilburg (NL), serving Northern Europe.

2003

Acquisition of MAREF SpA in Bondeno brings dense bricks and tunnel-kiln firing into the Group.

2007

Maref merges into Linco Baxo; TECREF precision operations move to Zerbinate.

2008

A third high-temperature tunnel kiln is commissioned at Bondeno.

2012

A five-year modernisation programme begins: robotized pressing, extrusion and pre-assembly platforms across the Italian plants.

2018

Acquisition of the SIRMA SpA assets and trademarks (SIRMA 95 AT, SIRCAST, SIRBRATE); launch of LICO-DRY and Alpor IFB; in-house metallic anchor production begins.
